Community Grants

There are 3 types of community grant available from Wilmslow Town Council:

1.     The Community Grant – a general grant to encourage, promote and facilitate positive work in and around Wilmslow. 
New Community Grant applications will be welcome from 1st April 2023.

2.     The Green Community Fund – for projects that promote sustainable spaces, biodiversity conservation and ‘Greening’ the Town.

3.     The Town Event Grant Fund – to fund events that attract people to Wilmslow Town Centre and which have the support of the Town Centre Business Community represented by the Town Centre Management Steering Group.

Applications must be from local groups, societies, clubs, organisations and charities (not individuals).

In most instances, the maximum grant awarded will be £2,000, to cover no more than 50% of the overall project costs.

Grant applications are reviewed on a quarterly basis by a Wilmslow Town Committee who then make a recommendation to the main Town Council meeting.

Town Centre Event Fund applications are only considered by the Council if the Town Centre Business Community indicate that the event will benefit the commercial town centre.

Completed Grant Application forms, with appropriate attachments, should be received by the Town Council office at least 1 week before the relevant Town Council Meeting.

New Community Grant applications will be welcome from 1st April 2023.
