Cheshire East Council request feedback on draft Wilmslow Town Centre Vitality Plan

Town centres across the UK are facing unprecedented challenges: footfall has significantly decreased leaving many centres struggling, a trend that has only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

With this in mind, Cheshire East Council has commissioned an expert team to produce bespoke Town Centre Vitality Plans (TCVP) for each of the borough’s nine Key Service Centres (KSC), including Wilmslow.

These draft plans are about establishing an agreed set of priorities and is not a commitment of finance to deliver the proposals - funding would need to be sought once plans are agreed. Any actions would be taken forward as and when opportunities arise and resources allow.

Cheshire East would now like your feedback on these plans. The full plan and questionnaire can be accessed online at:

https://surveys.cheshireeast.gov.uk/s/CHR3P6/

A printed version of the plan and hard copy Consulation Packs (which contain a freepost envelope) are also available from Wilmslow Town Council or Wilmslow Library.

Thank you for taking the time to read these draft plans and give your views on them.

Once the consultation is complete, results will be analysed and used to finalise the Town Centre Vitality Plans, before they are considered for approval by local Town and Parish Councils, and Cheshire East Council.

If you have any queries about this consultation, or if you would like to receive this questionnaire in an alternative format or submit your response in a different way, please contact RandC@cheshireeast.gov.uk.

The deadline for completed questionnaires is 8th November 2022.
